Grape Leaves
Q. Sidney who listens in Kentucky has been wondering what to do with grape leaves. Here are some ideas:
Lynne: Grape leaves make great table decor - line a tray with fresh grape leaves and place your cheese selection on the top. Or line teacups with the leaves and serve fresh berries with a daub of marscarpone.
Check out Greek and Middle Eastern cookbooks for recipes that stuff grape leaves or try a Vietnamese method by placing marinated pieces of thinly pounded beef or chicken in a grape leaf - rolling them up in a tight cylinder and grilling them over hot coals or in a pan until brown on all sides.
(Marinate the meat in a spicy Vietnamese blend of garlic, sugar, lemongrass or lime, and some Thai fish sauce ( Nuoc Nam)).
