When hungry families learn to practice sustainable farming, they will never go hungry again, and neither will their neighbors. Heifer Project partners receive extensive training prior to receiving an animal and are required to donate one or more of its offspring to a neighbor. Known as "passing on the gift," this effort ensures that entire communities continue to benefit from the gift of just one animal.
