Olive Oil Tips and Picks
April 11, 1998
Rolando Beramendi, founder of Manicaretti, an importer of high-quality Italian food products, recommends the following olive oils:
- Laudemio: anything from this consorzio of 22 producers is a good bet.
- Tenuta di Capezzana: a wonderful unfiltered oil from the Florence area.
- Frantoio Merco: a Ligurian oil available at Williams-Sonoma stores.
- Colavita: a great all-around extra-virgin olive oil. Readily available in larger supermarkets.
