Canned Baked Beans Tasting With a little "doctoring," Lynne finds this picnic staple quite acceptable. Grocery guru Al Sicherman selected three common brands of canned baked beans for Lynne to taste: Bush's Original Baked Beans at 73 cents per 16 ounce can, B & M Original Brick Oven Baked Beans at $1.19 for 16 ounces, and a generic store brand at 63 cents for 16 ounces. Lynne's pick was Bush's, followed by B & M, then the generic store brand, although she says all were acceptable, especially with a little "doctoring."
