Gambero Rosso® Italian Wines 2006: A Guide to the World of Italian Wine for Experts and Wine Lovers

Lynne relies on the guides from Gambero Rosso®, one of the premier Italian wine ranking organizations, for recommendations. The top winners for 2006 were recently announced at the Three Glasses Awards in New York. Most of these wines are produced at very small vineyards, but keep an eye out for them anyway because you never know where they might show up.
- Best Bubbles: Franciacorta Grand Cuvée Pas Operé 2000, by Bellavista
- Best White Wine: Collio Bianco Fosarin 2004, by Ronco dei Tassi
- Best Red Wine: Taurasi Vigna Cinque Querce 2001, by Molettieri
