The Wine Spectator's Matt Kramer is possibly the ultimate wine geek himself so who better to suggest gifts for other wine geeks? Here are a few of his picks:
Avoid: corkscrews and wine totes
Buy: esoteric wines such as:
- Tokaji: from Hungary's Tokaj region, this was once one of the most famous wines in the world. Look for the dry one produced by Oremus in the $12 to $15 range. There's a classic sweet tokaji also.
- Mayacamas Vineyards Chardonnay 2003 About $32.
