For the beer lovers who think they've tasted everything, Steve Beaumont, author of The Premium Beer Drinker's Guide, wants them to try smoked beers, the ones he calls the "single-malt Scotch of the beer world." For starters, look for these:
Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier: Steve's personal favorite has a wonderful smoky aroma and flavor resembling a scotch from Isla.
Alaskan Smoked Porter: A well-balanced beer with lots of fruit and wood, as well as smoke.
Rogue Smoked: A favorite from Rogue Ale in Portland, Oregon.
