For a step back in time to the days when life in California was much simpler, the Sterns go to Shield's Date Gardens in Indio. It's an old-fashioned tourist attraction complete with a film from the 1940s that chronicles the romance and sex life of the date! To cool off, have some date ice cream and one of the divine date milkshakes.
