New Mexico is one of the most romantic places ever to spend the holidays. For some real-life New Mexican food head into the Carson National Forest to El Rito, about 40 minutes from Santa Fe. There, you'll find a tiny adobe café called El Farolito. Step inside for some sublime eating: green and red chile, Fritos pie, chilies rellenos and freshly made sopaipillas drizzled with honey. It doesn't get any better in the middle of nowhere.
