El Gallito—the name means "the little rooster"—is a simple little place near Palm Springs where the Sterns love the chicken mole and second-hand Pucci dresses that are for sale. El Gallito has been in Cathedral City since 1978, serving tacos, chiles rellenos, enchiladas, and their wonderful mole, which is on the menu only on Fridays.
