As the Sterns were driving through Yankton, South Dakota with their car windows down, the aroma of frying potatoes compelled them to stop at the tiny cottage where they make Fitzgerald's Potato Chips. These out-of-this-world wonders are sorted and bagged by hand, and the crumbs are sold separately as topping for casseroles.

Also in South Dakota is the Tripp Sports Bowl Café where Jane and Michael dined amidst the bowling balls. They say the creamed chicken on toast was perfect. A daily special is offered too.
