Harold's Barbecue
January 19, 2002
Listen to this feature (How to listen)
A trip to Harold's Barbecue, located near the federal prison in Atlanta, got the Sterns musing about the relationship between pigs and religion. Perhaps it had something to do with the religious pictures and figurines inside. Whatever the reason, it was the first-rate barbecue that really got them worked up. Ribs are big and meaty, the sliced pork velvety, and it's all served with Brunswick stew and spectacular cornbread. Jane likes the Barbecue Salad—greens and barbecued pork topped with barbecue sauce.
A big sign with a cheerful pig in sunglasses welcomes you to Harold's.
