Seafood Feasting at Lundy's
April 26, 1997
For seafood feasting the old-fashioned way, Lundy's is tops. A boisterous Brooklyn dining hall, Lundy's was the largest resatuarant in America (seating 2400) through the post-war years. Portions are big, service is brash, customers are loud, and a horde of white-jacketed waiters serve baking powder biscuits, bowls of chowder (the Stern's prefer the New England style) and giant tureens full of steamer clams. Great juicy lobsters are the star of the famous 'Shore Dinners' (from the original 1918 menu) followed by enormous wedges of pie and cake for dessert.
