The Wreck

A sure sign of a great restaurant is one with no sign. The Wreck in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is such a place, but finding it was barely a challenge for the intrepid and tenacious Jane and Michael Stern. Housed in a former bait locker with beer cases lining the walls, The Wreck is worth the search. Jane loves the broiled grouper served with homemade hushpuppies and spiced grits, and the fried seafood is superb. After you place your order, sit on the porch overlooking the point and watch the boats coming in.
