Up for Breakfast is tucked away (and up a precarious staircase) off Main Street in beautiful, old-world Manchester Village. This humble little place serves great food to locals and tourists in the know that venture off the beaten path to outlet shopping madness at Manchester Center.
A signature dish is the Wild Turkey Hash, named not because it's made from wild turkeys but because it's a wild mix of peppers, onions, potatoes and pine nuts topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. Also not to be missed are the custardy French toast, blueberry pancakes so loaded with berries they're purple, and the intense muffins you can order cut in half and grilled.
The Sterns also recommend a stop at Mrs. Murphy's Donuts before you leave the area. It's where the locals hang out.
