Vegetables in Birmingham

Niki's West in Birmingham is a favorite with Jane and Michael Stern for vegetables (and cafeteria-style entrees) fresh from the Birmingham Food Terminal across the street. Here, you can select from nearly four dozen vegetables, many cooked southern-style but all fresh from the farm. Entrees include such southern favorites as fried pork chops and country steak, but you'll also find a few Greek-style offerings and above-average seafood. The banana pudding is even considered a vegetable at Niki's!
