Barbara Lynch, a welfare kid from the projects, grew up to become the star chef of Boston's Beacon Hill. Last year, the South Boston Neighborhood House honored her for her contributions to the community. It's a heartwarming story and Barbara's restaurant, Number 9 Park, is a gem.
