Oyster Dating Service at Elliot's Oyster House

The commonly held belief is that oysters are best in months with the letter "R," or the cool seasons. But in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle to be exact, oysters are great all summer. In fact, oysters are such a big deal there that Seattle seafood authority Jon Rowley created an "oyster dating service." He set up an annual competition at Elliot's Oyster House where experts taste the oysters with different wines, looking for the best matches.
