In 1990 author and restaurateur George Lang returned to his native Hungary where, with his partner Ronald Lauder, he purchased the legendary Gundel restaurant in Budapest. Everyone from the Pope to Madonna has experienced the fabulous dishes that distinguish Gundel as one of the ten best restaurants in the world. Lang calls it his "trophy property."
