New York, NY: Hell's Kitchen
June 12, 2004

Listen to this feature (How to listen)

Lots of people travel to cities for what's downtown -- the museums, theater, music, shopping and big-ticket restaurants. Then there are those who love what's just beyond the glitz -- the old neighborhoods with a real sense of place frequented by locals who are really in the know about finding good food. In a city like New York, which has some 127 different ethnic groups, you can go from New Delhi, to San Juan, to Rome in an afternoon, literally walking from one world to another.

Mike Colameco, host of Colameco's Food Show seen on Channel 13 in New York, loves to eat in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Here are some places you'll find him.
