"Anti-Chards" - Low Oak Chardonnays to Pair with Food
August 31, 2002

Joshua Wesson of Best Cellars likes these "anti-Chards," Chardonnays that lack the classic taste of oak and pair well with many foods:

Babich Chardonnay from New Zealand: Clean and crisp green apple flavor for about $10 a bottle.

Bollini Chardonnay from Northern Italy: No oak. Serve it with most foods.

Macon Villages Jadot from France: Another winner for about $10.
