Jane and Michael Stern say chili is the ubiquitous American dish. For them, the best bowl of red is the one served at Chili John's in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This eatery that's been around since 1913 serves their chili on spaghetti noodles with cheese and hot chili oil on the side.
