Spiedies at Sharkey's

Binghamton, New York, has a strong Italian community, and the city is known for its delicious spiedies: lamb, pork or chicken that's marinated, grilled over charcoal, and served on the skewer with Italian bread. Spiedies are to Binghamton what Buffalo chicken wings are to Buffalo. The Sterns like the Spiedies at Sharkey's, a wonderful old-fashioned family tavern where you can play the ancient pinball machines and eat with the locals and volunteer firemen who love Sharkey's, too.
